good morning gorgeous: sunday

Okay, so I really wanted to have this done yesterday and have gone a whole week wearing each day...but things just didn't work out! Also I could not come up with a title for this one to save my life! Oh well, here is a look with sunday. I was really surprised at how sunday looks on, it almost looks like terra cotta or clay. I am excited to foil it and wet line with it!

Here is what I did:
  • Apply regular eyelid primer
  • Patted Sunday on the lid
  • Swept Garland on brow bone with Crease Defining brush
  • Using the same brush applied Wearable Brown Medium to crease
  • Big and Bright eyeliner in Plum on upper lashline and lower waterline halfway in
  • Curl lashes and apply Buxom Mascara and FDVM
  • Everyday Foundation Routine
  • Smitten Blush
  • Samantha Buxom

skipper left the house bright eyed on saturday

So today I overslept and had to meet a friend so I didn't have much time, but I still wanted to wear saturday so I decided to make the brighting eyeshadow primer into the crease color to use it as double duty! Sorry there aren't many photos, like I said I didn't have much time!

Here is what I came up with:
  • Brighting Eyelid Primer - on lid and blend into crease
  • Saturday patted on lid
  • Buxom lashliner in Leatherette with slight flick up
  • Everyday Foundation Routine
  • Smitten blush
  • Skipper buxom

on friday i looked out at the skyline...

Thank god it's friday! Mostly because I really wanted to wear Friday all week long! I wanted to do a more dramatic look as most people go out on friday night so why not make this a going out look. Although I did tone it down a little with the blush and lip gloss because when I put my makeup on it was still daytime! If I were to go out I might choose a darker Buxom or maybe a Pretty Amazing. (and if I do I will post photos later!) Also this color photographs more black looking but its more teal.

Here is what I did:

  • buff Skyline in the crease and in the "v"
  • pat Friday over lid and blend into Skyline (2 applications)
  • dry line Friday on lower lashline half way across and up to meet "v"
  • apply Buxom Lashliner in Leatherette to upper lashline and flick out
  • apply Ink eyeliner pencil on upper lashline and bottom inner rim halfway in
  • i took a q-tip with makeup remover on it to clean up and make the "v" really defined
  • curl lashes and apply FDM and FDVM
  • Everyday Foundation Routine
  • Optimist Blush
  • Samantha Buxom

i found my lilac vibe in the wild jungle on thursday

So I really had no idea what to do with Thursday today! I love the color but the main problem I ran into was that I didn't have all of my eye colors with me so I had to make a combo out of what I had on me. And some how all the ones I had with me were just wrong for Thursday! So I did my best and here is what I came up with:

  • Thursday on lid and blended and buffed in the crease and "v"
  • Wild Jungle along upper lash line and flick out then meet the liner to the lashline on the lid
  • apply a couple of layers to really fill it in and darken it
  • clean up outer edge with a q-tip and makeup remover to get a straight line
  • Lilac Vibe on brow bone and blended into Thursday to close gap
  • Curl lashes and CG lashblast and FDVM
  • Everyday Foundation Routine
  • Smitten Blush
  • Skipper Buxom

on wednesday i went to soho to buy exotic pearls

As soon as I saw the color of Wednesday, I was in love and knew it was going to be one of my favorites out of this kit. For this look I did it kind of in reverse for the application because I wanted the green to really show and be pigmented. Because the eye was so bold I wanted to make the cheeks more subtle and let the eyes be the focal point. I really like the way this turned out and because I like my hair today I decided to show you a full face photo too! Keep reading to see how I got this look!

Here is how I got this look:

  • Exotic Pearl on the brow bone with the Crease Defining brush
  • Then use the same brush to apply Soho lightly in the crease, not taking it all the way in, and a little in the "v"
  • Pat Wednesday on the lid and blend it into the crease color
  • Dry line your lower lash line with Wednesday all the way across
  • Apply Buxom Lashliner in Leatherette on upper lash line with a small flick
  • Curl lashes and CG Lashblast and FDVM
  • Everyday Foundation Routine
  • Hydrating Coral Blush
  • Sunny Buxom (sorry its not pictured!)

good morning gorgeous: i was lucky to find a hyacinth on tuesday

Tuesday was the perfect color for me today (and not just because it's tuesday) but because it is so warm out a nice bright look just seemed right. Here is what I did:
  • Tuesday patted and blended onto lid just to crease
  • Lucky blended into the crease and "v"
  • Hyacinth on the brow bone
  • Retro lined along the upper lash line
  • curl lashes and apply CG Lashblast and FDVM
  • Everyday Foundation Routine
  • Smitten blush
  • Misty Buxom

good morning gorgeous: meets perfect gift 2

Today is monday so of course I had to wear monday eyeshadow! But as pretty a shade as this is, blue is not a color that I am comfortable wearing or even really know how to. So today I stepped a little bit out of my comfort zone and here is the look I came up with:
  • Monday patted on lid
  • Thoughtful applied to brow bone with Crease Defining Brush
  • Treasured applied to crease and blended using the same Crease Defining Brush
  • Buxom Lashliner in Leatherette applied to upper lash line very close to lashes
  • Curled lashes and applied CG lashblast and FDVM
  • Everyday Foundation Routine
  • Smitten Blush
  • Marina Buxom
I know its not that bold but I am taking baby steps here! Maybe next monday I will go crazy and foil it! I really do love the color its just not one I wear often.

june's kit of the month: good morning gorgeous

As soon as talk stared about this kit I knew that I had to buy it. I just thought that the idea of seven eyeshadows named after the days of the week was such a great idea! They had me even before I saw the colors, and after I saw them I was in love! It comes in a cute box with a drawer that slides out to reveal the shadows and a tip card. Leslie said on her FB that this will be a collector item and to buy two but I just don't have that kind of money. But I will certainly keep the box of this collection!

Here are the swatches of the days of the week (top: dry; bottom: foiled):

quick and easy go-to eye look

Okay, so new month = new kit, but due to being crazy busy and a lack of sun to photograph the kit/looks in I haven't even started on this months yet. But it is going to be Good Morning Gorgeous and I am so excited to start playing. I am hoping that by monday I will be able to get some things posted, so hang in until then! For now here is a look that I love to wear anytime, and know that it will look good so I don't even have to think about it.

This is my easy go-to look if I want to wear eyeshadow but don't have a lot of time. Also this doesn't take many brushes or colors so it is also handy for on the go and if you want to go out at night you can just smoke it out some more very easily. I keep everything I need to complete this look in my purse (it all fits in the roll that I talked about in my everyday face post) everyday but I am also a little crazy. Here is how you get it:

  •  Apply High Shine Meteorite (with the applicator it comes with) to your lid up to the crease
  • Take the Crease Defining Brush and buff or blend out in the crease and make sure that the color is all over your lid as well, I find that this tends to take on a different look when buffed in the crease so it looks like two shadows when only having to apply one! If you want a more dramatic look you can blend the color up more into the "v"
  • Next take the Full Edged Liner Brush and apply Wild Jungle (or sometimes I use Retro) along upper lash line and blend up, using the technique to make lashes look fuller (you can skip this step if you like)
  • Then apply Buxom Lash Liner in Leatherette and Flick up slightly
  • Regular Foundation Routine
  • Smitten blush or what ever you have on hand...it is such a neutral color that any blush will work
  • Samantha Buxom Lip Gloss, or again what ever you have on hand. Some times I will pair this with a darker gloss if I am going out at night such as Leslie Couture Buxom
